Exodus NDS is the rules.

Exodus NDS is a setting-neutral tabletop roleplaying rules system. It explains how to build characters, roll dice, resolve actions, run scenes, and play the game. Universes add the worlds, tone, lore, creatures, and setting-specific options.

I want to learn the rules

The core rules are the complete play engine: dice pools, checks, character creation, structured play, recovery, advancement, GM tools, and quick reference material.

I want a world to play in

Universes use the Exodus NDS rules and add the setting: places, people, threats, equipment, lore, and the material that gives a campaign its flavor.

Rules and universes do different jobs.

The core rules stay light on setting flavor so they can support different kinds of games. A universe gives those rules a home.

Core Rules

  • How dice pools work
  • How characters are built
  • How checks, scenes, and conflict resolve
  • How GMs run the system

Universes

  • Worlds, locations, and factions
  • Setting-specific options and threats
  • Adventures, campaigns, and play hooks
  • Downloadable guides that preview the feel

A simple path to the table

  1. Read or download the core rules. They are short enough to be the starting document.
  2. Choose a universe or bring your own world. The rules do not require an official setting.
  3. Create characters and start with a clear scene. Let the dice push consequences, complications, and momentum.

About quickstarts

The core rules are already concise, so there is no separate rules quickstart right now. Universes may have their own quick guides so you can feel the setting before choosing a full universe book.
