Exodus NDS is developed in accordance with established principles of United States copyright law distinguishing between protected expression and unprotected systems or methods of operation.

In Baker v. Selden (1879), the United States Supreme Court held that copyright does not extend to systems, methods, or processes described in a work, but only to the specific expression of those ideas. This principle has been consistently applied to game design: rules, procedures, and mechanical frameworks are not protected by copyright, while specific text, artwork, and trade dress are.

Exodus NDS does not reproduce any proprietary text, artwork, or trade dress from any existing system. All written content, terminology, visual elements, and presentation in this work are original.

This work is provided in good faith as an original expression of a narrative dice system.
